Constituency Profile

Sibbinda Constituency is located and situated at the centre of the region. It borders with three (3) constituencies namely: Linyanti in the South-West, Katima Rural in the East and Kongola in the North and also borders with Botswana in the far South-East. The constituency is found alongside the Trans-Zambezi Highway Road. Sibbinda is the administration centre of the constituency with Chinchimani as a growth point. The Constituency has a population of 10,182 in a total area of 1,699 km2 and has a population density of 6.0 per square kilometre.

Educational Institutions:

• There are five (5) Primary Schools namely: Kisako PS, Malundu PS, Mazoba PS, Mpacha PS and Kahunikwa PS.
• There are four (4) Combined Schools namely: Kanono CS, Chincimani CS, Sikubi CS, Kaenda CS, Kaliyangile CS, Sibbinda CS, and Kasheshe CS.
• There is three (3) Senior Secondary Schools namely: Masokotwani SSS, Simataa SSS and Sikosinyana SSS.

Health Facilities:

• There is six (6) Health Centres namely: Chincimani HC, Masokotwani HC, KAsheshe HC, Kanono HC, Kaenda HC and Sibbinda HC.

Tourism / Recreation Facilities:

• There is one (1) lodge namely: Kolosi Lodge and Bush Ranch.

Government Offices:

• There are two (2) Satellite Police Station: Muzina and Chincimani Satellite Police Station.
• There are four (4) Agricultural Extension Offices: Sibbinda and Kasheshe ADCs.
